Perhaps Ava Su agreed too suddenly, and Dean Zhao thought he had misheard, "Have you really thought it through?"
"Teacher, I never thought of giving up."
Ava Su stood up and walked to the window, looking at the lush sycamore tree outside. The voice seemed very close, yet very far away. "I just spent three years to forget the past. A month ago, I went for a psychological assessment, and fortunately, the results were better than expected."
The office was silent for a few seconds.
Dean Zhao's expression gradually turned into shock. His hands were shaking, and he could hardly utter a complete sentence, "You kid... why didn't you tell me earlier? Why did you tell me now?"
