Two days later, Rowan and the Rat Man said goodbye to Jasper.
"Good luck," Jasper said, "brother."
"I'll wait for you in the abyss." Rowan jumped onto the horse, lifted his cloak to reveal the sword at his waist, and leaned on the sword, bowing to Gar, "Be at the disposal of my king at any time, Ino will take me to fly over everything and reach you. Don't forget, I am your knight, no matter when."
"Go." Gar stepped back. "I will fight for my brothers, too, no matter what."
Rowan reined in his horse and turned around, running to the front of the carriage team. Dude poked his head out of the carriage and saluted silently at Gar. The old man lay in the carriage and woke up with the shaking. He was already very old and even weaker after the underground excavation.
