There are many villas set up by imperial officials in the suburbs of Beijing. The appearance of this mansion is not unusual.
The courtyard wall is ten feet high, with plum trees stretching out its branches, and the tall screen wall is painted with fluttering cranes.
There is no verandah behind the screen wall, but a rockery with mountains and hills, covered with moss and flowers and trees. It would be impossible for an ordinary person to get around it in less than half an hour. This is the only formation in the mansion, used to thwart people who want to break in through the main entrance.
As for the little thief or killer who foolishly climbed over the wall, he would never see the body alive or dead.
There is a magic cultivator living here, including the old man who lights the fire and chops firewood in the kitchen, and the cripple who feeds the feed in the stable.
