No one answered Ryan Mitchell's call.
In a small courtyard in a second-tier city far from City B, early in the morning, no one was asleep at home. Mother Wei had been sobbing in the living room with red eyes all night, and Father Wei had been roaring furiously for most of the night, and in the early hours of the morning he slammed the door and went to the rooftop to smoke. Brother Wei hid in the room, at a loss, and could only put his ear to the crack of the door to secretly listen to the noise outside.
"What a shame, what a shame!" Wei's father cursed from the rooftop. "How could such a disgusting thing happen? And he still has the nerve to come back! Maybe he brought some dirty disease, like AIDS, and is going to kill our whole family!"
Mother Wei's sobbing became louder and louder: "Old man, keep your voice down! Aren't you ashamed?"
"You've taught me such a good son!" Wei's father pushed the door open and rushed into the living room, shouting, "I told him not to be an actor. In the old society, we called him an actor! He was a low-class person! But you protected your son and told him to be an actor if he wanted to. What happened? He became a sissy homoS3xual! It's really embarrassing for me! If I had known, you should have listened to me and let him find a job in our factory!"
