"As soon as the princess touched the spindle, she fell to the ground. The curse was fulfilled! But she did not die. She just fell into a deep sleep. Then the king and queen fell asleep too. The horses in the stable, the dogs in the yard, the pigeons on the roof, the flies on the wall, all fell asleep... A long fence grew around the palace. Year after year, it grew taller and taller, thicker and thicker, until it completely covered the palace. Even the roof and chimneys could not be seen..."

The young mother's gentle voice explained the details vividly, and the little girl opened her eyes wide.

"......One hundred years later, a prince came here. When he came to the fence, the fences opened automatically for him. He walked through the fence and came to the princess's room. Ah! The princess was so beautiful! The prince k!ssed the princess, and then, a miracle happened, the princess opened her eyes......"

"What happened next?" the little girl asked anxiously.

"Then the prince and the princess held a grand wedding, and from then on, they lived happily together." The mother closed the book and ended the story for the night with a smile: "Okay, baby, it's time to go to bed."
