Liam Sheng’s heart was beating so fast it was about to explode.
He felt like a hot air balloon that had been secretly lit on fire. He was dizzy from the neck up, but his hands and feet were floating. When he suddenly woke up and fell back to the ground, it was already daybreak.
He stared at the white ceiling for a long time, and suddenly he felt confused. He was not sure whether he had slept or not, and he was not even sure whether the concept of "yesterday" really existed.
He searched for his phone by the pillow for a long time and turned on the screen. The lock screen said today was December 4th, sunny, and every word was crystal clear. He touched the right side of the pillow again and felt the leather cover of the photo album, which confirmed that he was not dreaming.
The sunlight was half blocked by the doors and windows, shining obliquely on the edge of the upper bunk. Liam Sheng tossed and turned for a long time, and finally fell back on the pillow as if relieved. After a few seconds, he suddenly pulled the quilt to cover his head.
