The morning classes went by quickly.

When Zhaocai was talking about the last essay, Jordan Gao suddenly leaned back, leaned against Liam Sheng's desk and whispered, "Zhaocai will not delay the class."

"Hmm?" Liam Sheng leaned forward and asked in confusion, "What if we don't delay the class?"

"Then we can go to the cafeteria on time." Jordan Gao said, "Friendly reminder, first identify the direction of the cafeteria, and run as soon as the bell rings. This way you can grab the only two edible dishes in the cafeteria."

A question mark slowly appeared on Liam Sheng's face: "Why are you running? Didn't you walk there yesterday?"

"You also said that, that was yesterday." Jordan Gao sighed, "From today on, the good days are over. Because the first-year high school students have also started school, the number of people fighting for food has doubled."

Jordan Gao shook his index finger and said, "Life is very hard. You will know once you experience it. Those freshmen run faster than dogs."

Before Liam Sheng could reply, Zhao Cai suddenly knocked on the podium: "Jordan Gao!"

Liam Sheng touched his nose and sat up straight immediately. The person in the front seat had already stood up awkwardly.

"You're trying to steal the spotlight from me, aren't you?" Zhaocai asked bluntly, "What were you talking about just now? And you insisted on dragging Liam Sheng along to accompany you."

Jordan Gao scratched his head and said, "Nothing."

"Are you trying to fool the ghost?" Zhaocai leaned on the podium and raised his chin: "Anyway, it's almost time. Come on, share what you just said with us."

Jordan Gao moved his lips, just like the humming of a mosquito.

"Do you have a toothache?" Zhaocai said, "Repeat it three times! When you finish, the get out of class is over. If you don't, we will just waste time."

More than 40 heads turned around, and Jordan Gao said with full energy: "I said those freshmen run faster than dogs!"

Attract wealth: ...

Liam Sheng thought that this punishment was absolutely incredible.

Zhaocai pointed at Jordan Gao and said, "Shut up and sit down. Copy the three sample essays today and hand them in during evening study. Then --- get out of class is over!"

After saying that, the slightly plump female teacher quickly moved aside to make way.

There was a loud banging of chairs in the classroom, and before Liam Sheng could stand up, the classroom was almost empty.

The students in Class A rushed down the stairs like a tsunami. When most of them were halfway down, the bell rang. More people joined the team and ran towards the cafeteria in a mighty manner.

What kind of Fatal Fury scene is this?

Liam Sheng was dumbfounded, and then he heard Zhaocai raise his voice and say, "Hey? Why didn't you two run away?"

"Me...two?" Liam Sheng turned around and found the "two" behind him.

Instead of running away, Kevin Jiang was even still writing on the test paper.

Zhaocai saw a corner of the test paper and couldn't help being touched: "Oh, the sun is rising from the west today, and you are correcting the test paper so seriously? Let me see, which question are you memorizing the answer to? You've been writing for so long, are there any questions you don't know?"

"No." Kevin Jiang bent his left index finger and scratched the tip of his nose, but the pen in his right hand did not stop and he wrote even faster.

According to experts, touching the nose represents a guilty conscience.

Liam Sheng quietly stuck his head out and took a look. Hey, it was the physics paper.

When Zhaocai walked down from the podium, Kevin Jiang just finished simplifying the last formula. He put a dot at the end with his pen tip, put the paper neatly on the table, and stood up before Zhaocai came over and said, "Teacher, I'm going to eat first."

After saying that, he walked out of the classroom.

Liam Sheng hummed, waved to Zhaocai and said, "Teacher, I'll go downstairs too."

"Oh, okay. Go ahead." Zhaocai was stunned by them. In the blink of an eye, the two young men turned out of the door one after the other.

"What the hell is he running so fast for?" she muttered, and walked to Kevin Jiang's seat and took a look. A corner of the paper was exposed from the desk, and on it was the conclusion he had just written: It can be seen that the ball is under balanced forces and maintains uniform linear motion at a speed of vt.

Attract wealth: ...

She rushed to the back door and shouted angrily, "Kevin Jiang! Come to my office for an interview after your evening study!"

The boy's large school uniform flashed around the corner of the stairs and disappeared.

The classroom was very cold, and Liam Sheng ran downstairs. He realized that he ran too fast and didn't even take off his school uniform. He wasn't the one doing the physics paper in the Chinese class, so he didn't know why he was so nervous.

I didn't feel it when I just went downstairs, but now under the scorching sun, I felt sweat rising up. Liam Sheng couldn't stand it for a moment, so he took off his coat and held it in his hand.

Kevin Jiang walked ahead a few steps faster than him.

This man seemed to be incapable of sweating. He did not take off his school uniform, but rolled up his sleeves to his elbows. Students who work at desks all year round will have hunched backs if they are not careful, but he had no problem at all. He was straight and neat, like a walking ice cream in the sun.

Handsome guys always attract attention wherever they go, let alone two of them at once.

Several groups of girls looked over when they passed by, pushing and shoving each other and laughing. Two of them didn't pay attention and were almost bumped into Liam Sheng by their companions who were cheering them on.

Liam Sheng stepped aside, smiled at them while saying a series of "I'm sorry", and then caught up with Kevin Jiang in two steps.

"Hey, do you have any paper?" he asked, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

The fountain in the school square was not turned on, so Kevin Jiang walked down the steps of the fountain, ignoring the sound.

"Talking to you." he said again.

Kevin Jiang still has selective deafness.

Liam Sheng groaned and said in dissatisfaction, "I ran all the way here because of you, and you won't even lend me a piece of paper?"

Kevin Jiang finally responded. He said, "First learn how to call people before asking me for paper."

Liam Sheng looked at the back of his head with dissatisfaction, his lips moved silently for a few times, and finally he said reluctantly: "Student Kevin Jiang,   please lend me a piece of paper, is that polite enough?"

Kevin Jiang then took out a pack of tissues from his school uniform pocket and threw them to him. Liam Sheng reached out to catch them and took one out to wipe his sweat.

"Can we really have food at this speed?" Liam Sheng looked around. Amid the rushing crowd, the two of them were like a mudslide.

In fact, he didn't want to have dinner with Kevin Jiang,   and it was obvious that Kevin Jiang didn't want to take him with him. The scene was so awkward that he could barely even think about it. But boys' competitive spirit was always inexplicably omnipresent. In this situation, it seemed that whoever ran first would lose. Liam Sheng didn't want to be the coward, so he gritted his teeth and walked shoulder to shoulder with Kevin Jiang...

Two minutes later, he found himself getting further and further away from the cafeteria.

"Wait a minute, the cafeteria is over there, aren't you planning to eat?" Liam Sheng asked.

"If you go to the cafeteria at this time, you can eat on the plate." Kevin Jiang glanced at him, "If you want to eat, go by yourself."

Liam Sheng certainly didn't want to eat, so he followed Kevin Jiang around the basketball court and a small piece of "Self-cultivation Garden" and entered an on-campus convenience store next to the west gate.

There are three convenience stores on campus. One is next to the cafeteria, one is next to the dormitory building, and the other is here.

The convenience store is called "Xi Le" and the color scheme of the signboard should be imitated from "7-Eleven". From the inside out, it exudes a sense of copycatness that may be banned at any time on March 15.

This restaurant is in the opposite direction of the cafeteria and not very close to the teaching building, so there are not many students at noon.

The boss was Zhao Su, a middle-aged man, tall and thin, with slightly bulging eyes like a praying mantis. He looked at me from above his thick glasses, with a shrewd look.

"Is there no food in the cafeteria?" asked Boss Zhao.

Liam Sheng nodded and said, "It's too late."

"Here---" He pointed to the side of the counter, "We have rice, dim sum, and oden. Take your pick. I can't spare my hands."

On his table was a large basket filled with washed cucumbers, next to it was a stack of freshly opened disposable paper boxes and a roll of plastic wrap.

Opposite his table sat a strange-looking man who looked to be in his 50s, thin and short, with his upper body hunched over like a hunched shrimp, a hunchback.

He was wearing a white vest with two moth-eaten holes on the back, and gray-blue cotton shorts, revealing arms and legs that were tanned and bony.

He seemed ashamed of his appearance. When Liam Sheng came in, he shrank behind the shelf, perhaps afraid of scaring people. But when he saw Kevin Jiang,   he grinned, made meaningless noises, and gestured with his hands.

Liam Sheng uttered "Ah" softly in his heart, knowing that this was a mute.

Kevin Jiang nodded to the mute, without much enthusiasm, but the mute was quite happy and gestured to Boss Zhao again.

It was obvious that his movements were not standard sign language, but were purely based on instinct. Liam Sheng knew nothing about it, but Boss Zhao could understand it.

He said, "Yes, yes, he is quite tall. Kids are growing very fast nowadays. Stop gesturing and put on your gloves first. I have been waiting for you for a long time."

The mute immediately calmed down and put on his gloves carefully. After Mr. Zhao picked the cucumbers and put them in the box, he helped him wrap them with plastic wrap. He was not very flexible, but he was also a helper.

Liam Sheng watched from the side for a while and felt that Kevin Jiang either came here often or already knew Boss Zhao and the mute.

While he was lost in thought, Kevin Jiang suddenly said to him, "You can eat here. I'm leaving."

"What...you don't want to eat?" Before Liam Sheng could react, the glass door of the convenience store ding-donged, and Kevin Jiang's figure disappeared outside the door.

"He doesn't eat here." Boss Zhao pointed back casually, "He goes outside the school."

Liam Sheng was even more puzzled. The Affiliated High School required a note to leave school during the day, and he hadn't seen Kevin Jiang ask any teacher to sign a note.

"Where outside school?" he asked.

"Over there in the family quarters." Boss Zhao spoke with a kind of elder-like harshness, "Why, can't you eat by yourself? Why bother with him? Your lunch break is not long, so hurry back to the classroom after eating."

Liam Sheng thought that he still had a pile of papers to do, so he said no more, picked two dishes and sat down with his plate.

Although small in size, it has everything. Although this store looks like a copycat, it has everything that a convenience store should have, and most importantly, the food is actually quite delicious.

Liam Sheng was not picky about food and finished his meal honestly. He put the plate into the recycling area and had a slightly better impression of Kevin Jiang. At least he brought Liam Sheng to this restaurant, so he didn't have to squeeze in with the crowds and didn't have to go hungry.

"Are you full?" Boss Zhao took off his gloves and asked him, "How does it taste? Is it better than the food in the cafeteria?"

Liam Sheng was not stingy in praising others, saying, "It's not worse than at home."

Boss Zhao laughed out loud, feeling very happy. After he finished laughing, he stretched out his hand and said to Liam Sheng, "Give me money."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Liam Sheng sneered and touched his pocket, his face turning green as he laughed.

Boss Zhao asked cautiously: "What's wrong?"

Liam Sheng laughed dryly and said, "I didn't bring any money."

He had no cash and his cell phone was stuffed in his backpack on the table, so he was penniless.

Boss Zhao immediately grabbed his hand and said, "No, you can't leave unless you pay me."

"How about you write it down first and I'll give it to you with lunch tomorrow?" Liam Sheng suggested.

"No." Boss Zhao refused.

"Then should I run back to the classroom to get it now?"

Boss Zhao said again: "No."

"Be flexible."

"No."

"Why are you so stingy!"

Seeing that the lunch break was about to end, Liam Sheng was very upset as he couldn't escape.

The boss thought for a moment and said, "Is it urgent? OK then."

He took out his cell phone, found a number, dialed it, then pressed the speakerphone button and put it on the table.

The reminder sounded for a long time, and the call was finally connected. Kevin Jiang's voice came through the phone: "Uncle Zhao, what's the matter?"

Boss Zhao said, "Yes, come here with the money and redeem your little boy who ate a free meal."

Kevin Jiang was silent for a moment, then hung up.
