"Sir, sir?"
The investigator's voice was unclear, and countless images flashed through Elliot's vision. The office was bustling with people, and there were constant calls, keyboard tapping, and conversations in Chinese and English.
"Elliot," the person next to him interrupted his thoughts: "This was a case that happened on the street in the early morning three days ago. It's the fourth case. The method is the same as the previous ones. The murderer drew a rose on the victim with a black pen and took away part of the body. The slightly different thing is..." He gestured to Elliot to look at the scene photos on the table. The victim's death was very miserable. In addition to the fatal wound, the slashed face and chest proved that the deceased had been abused: "This time he went a little too far."
"He's angry," Elliot said after looking at the photos. "He wants enough attention, from the whole world, or just from a specific person. But until now we still don't agree to let the news media report these murders. He is angry because he has not received a response. He is mocking society for not being able to stop his behavior. Antisocial psychology generally has this factor."
The colleague sighed. Elliot had seen this person in his memory more than once, and he looked familiar to him. He thought that he must have had a good relationship with his former self. "Was the previous profile wrong?"
