It has been a hundred days since my muscles and bones were injured. If the injury is critical, I can only heal it slowly. I can nurse it until the summer vacation is over.
The day before school started, Caleb Ji went to Elliott Ding to ask for leave from the teacher. It took him half an hour to walk from his bedroom to the study room in the front yard, his steps even shorter than those of an old lady with bound feet. Although he was no longer in so much pain, he was still limited in getting out of bed and moving around.
The study room was in a mess, with jade books, pens, inks and paints all placed in an unorganized manner. Elliott Ding sat behind the desk, with only the top of his head exposed, and the rest was blocked by a jade material.
"Master?" Caleb Ji shouted, "Are you busy?"
Elliott Ding said: "No matter how busy you are, you still have to listen to what your apprentice has to do. Besides, he's not that busy."
