Before the filming of Liam Chen's new play started, the crew held a press conference, and he met Andrew Qiu backstage at the end. After Andrew Qiu was transferred, he was assigned by the company to lead a duo. Who knew that the two young boys in the duo didn't get along at all? Andrew Qiu told Liam Chen about the bad things he had dealt with in the past half month, and finally sighed: "Alas, my promotion is so Fcuking boring. You said these two guys are interesting too. They grew up together in a group, but they get along like enemies in private, which makes me angry. As for me, I got along best with you."

Liam Chen smiled and said, "I didn't let you rest easy at the beginning."

This is not because Liam Chen is modest. When he first signed the contract with Qile, his mind was not in this circle at all. To put it nicely, it is indifferent, to put it bluntly, it is negative. People who entered the company with him have shown signs of getting angry, but he is the only one in a bleak situation. Andrew Qiu was scolded every time at the weekly meeting.

But Andrew Qiu never forced Liam Chen, so it was difficult for Liam Chen to open up to him later.

As he was talking, Liam Chen's phone rang, "...Well, the press conference is over, but the crew has other arrangements tonight...I'll treat you another day."

The call didn't last long. Andrew Qiu jokingly asked him, "Why, is there anyone else worthy of our invitation as the best actor?"

Liam Chen looked serious: "It's Nathan Song."

Andrew Qiu's expression suddenly became complicated, as if it was unbelievable to hear this name coming out of Liam Chen's mouth. After a while, he asked, "You...you and Nathan Song are together again?"

Liam Chen shook his head, "No, we agreed to be friends."

Andrew Qiu felt like he had just heard a joke. Who couldn't see through Nathan Song's thoughts in the past two years? Nathan Song didn't say it a year ago, but he couldn't help it now. Andrew Qiu just didn't expect Liam Chen to agree, even if it was under the guise of "friends". When Liam Chen first signed Qile, he happened to break up with Nathan Song, and Andrew Qiu became a rare person who knew the story of that year.

"Liam Chen, don't be stupid. You were so cruel back then that you left. You know that it's hard to change a person's nature. It's okay if you can't get over it these past few years. You can always let it go after a long time. But if you are stupid enough to go back, it would be really stupid. Besides... do you think that Nathan Song suddenly came back to make peace because he really couldn't forget you like you have been for the past few years? Then why didn't he contact you in the past few years?"

Liam Chen certainly didn't expect Nathan Song to be like him in the past few years. After all, newspapers, magazines, entertainment sections, and Weibo hot topics all recorded Nathan Song's rich stories in the past few years. Nathan Song may not have forgotten, but he didn't think about it all the time. Liam Chen later thought about Nathan Song's humble attitude that day, and it was just his usual childish temper.

Perhaps because Liam Chen hadn't contacted him once in five years, the young master felt that it was pointless to continue competing with each other, and it would be better to repeat the same mistake and see who would live and die this time.

Liam Chen explained to Andrew Qiu, as if to himself: "We agreed that we are just friends, nothing else."

Andrew Qiu's eyes showed that you were talking nonsense.

In fact, in the past two weeks, he and Nathan Song have indeed been acting according to the script of good friends.

Nathan Song invited him to have dinner once and play a game of ball with him, and they mostly talked about trivial matters that had nothing to do with them.

At the dinner table, Nathan Song opened a bottle of wine and introduced him to the French wineries and which climate was most suitable for growing grapes. After all, the signature dish of this restaurant was Chinese food, and the wine glasses were not placed professionally enough, with no distinction between Bordeaux glasses and Burgundy glasses.

Liam Chen interrupted him, not knowing why he had to ask a question about the other person: "You have faded out for a year, and you didn't shoot the script written specifically for you. Did you go to France to study and research grapes?"

Nathan Song's eyes were originally filled with a relaxed smile, but after hearing his question, the smile froze on his lips. He lowered his head and pushed the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall he had just served to Liam Chen. Liam Chen felt that Nathan Song looked as if he was sad, but he didn't know why - although the question just now was a rare private conversation tonight, it did not exceed the boundaries between good friends.

When Nathan Song looked up again, he was smiling again. He said, "Yeah, I was bored with filming movies, so I wanted to go out and have some fun. When I wasn't in class, I traveled around Europe. Actually, I didn't attend classes that often. You know, when I was studying, I just messed around. I did drink a lot of good wine. My mom even said that I smelled of alcohol at that time."

Liam Chen looked at Nathan Song's graceful figure and roughly guessed that it should be a happy period.

"Have you met any handsome French boys? Like the exchange student who came to our class in high school?"

Nathan Song smiled even more widely, "Of course, there is no shortage of beautiful boys in Paris."

"Are all pretty boys named Fran?ois?" Liam Chen thought of the French exchange student in high school. When chatting with them, he joked that Fran?ois is a name only given to good-looking boys in France.

"That's not the case...Xiaofu was just talking nonsense back then."

"What's the name of the handsome French guy you met?"

Nathan Song seemed to have carefully recalled the French boys he had met before answering him: "His name is Lionel. He has very beautiful eyes. His eyes are the only thing I can see on his face."

Later that day they talked about some things about France, and it really was like good friends sharing their previously divergent lives.

Liam Chen fully understood Andrew Qiu's worries, but he didn't think the situation would go as Andrew Qiu imagined. Rather than saying that Nathan Song couldn't forget the old love, it would be better to say that he was still holding his breath.

If they still had a future, the two of them should have turned back long ago, instead of wasting five years.

The crew had a dinner after the press conference, and it was Andrew Qiu who sent Liam Chen home.

Before Liam Chen got off the car, Andrew Qiu hesitated to speak, and when he opened his mouth, he only said: "When you arrive at the crew and start shooting, tell me... or your mess with that guy, you should know how to handle it."

Liam Chen nodded seriously and said good night to him again.

After Liam Chen went upstairs, Andrew Qiu sat in the car and smoked for half an hour.

After the new drama started filming, Liam Chen stayed at the film and television base, almost in a state of isolation from the world. Nathan Song invited him once or twice, just to play ball and eat, but he declined both times, saying he couldn't get away. At the end of the month, the crew had a holiday, and he remembered that he had rejected Nathan Song's invitations several times and promised to invite him back. When he called, Nathan Song's assistant answered and said that he was on vacation abroad and couldn't be contacted for the time being. The next day, Nathan Song called him and said that his vacation was arranged early and it would be difficult to miss it, so he would treat him after he came back.

But Nathan Song sounded very tired, not like he was on vacation and relaxing. Liam Chen hung up the phone.

Still added "take care of yourself".

If you and I are busy, our schedules will be staggered for a month. Lovers need to compromise their schedules for each other, but good friends don't need to.

Liam Chen's new film had a tight schedule, and he didn't contact Nathan Song after returning to the film and television base after the holiday. The senior who played his father in the play had fewer scenes and finished filming early, so everyone had a meal together before leaving the crew. There were no good restaurants near the film and television base, and when a group of people walked in, the waiter was watching TV, and he was not surprised to see celebrities.

The waiters were all little girls, and they were quite cute. The taller one looked at Liam Chen and then turned back to watch TV, and said to the other one: "Oh, I think Nathan Song is more handsome. Liam Chen is too serious."

Most of the crew heard this discussion, and an old senior joked to Liam Chen: "It seems you still have a lot of work to do to build a good mass base."

Emily Jia muttered beside him: "Nathan Song is a crooked person, he can only deceive young girls."

So everyone started laughing again, saying that assistant Emily Jia never forgot to protect Liam Chen, but the lively waitress blushed with nervousness.

The TV was playing a promotional video for Nathan Song's new play. Liam Chen had only heard his voice at first, and while he was chatting and laughing with everyone, he looked up and glanced at the TV screen.

This glance brought Chen Tao back to ten years ago.

The 26-year-old Nathan Song on TV was wearing a camouflage uniform, but what Liam Chen saw was the man who wore low-quality military training clothes and walked towards their team on the playground ten years ago under the hottest sun in September.
