Maya understood immediately, "So you didn't live in that house together?"
"No." He bent his head and K!ssed her, "Until you came back and you had Lucas Tang and that family by your side... If the Tang family could treat you better, I might have let you go and would have stayed behind to protect you for the rest of my life."
He shook his head, pulled out a little and then pushed in slowly, "I can't bear to see you fall into the hands of that family. No one loves you as much as I do."
Later, and later, it was today before I knew it.
Without her knowing, he had silently walked a long way towards her.
