Maya didn't know why she recalled last night's dream. She was entangled by a snake and couldn't move. The feeling was too real. She felt like her whole body was being pricked by needles and she was restless.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell again?" Julian reached out and touched her forehead with concern.
She stepped back. "No, it's okay."
He pulled a chair over and sat in front of her. He took the bowl of lotus seed porridge in front of him, picked up the small white porcelain spoon, scooped a small spoonful, blew it to cool it down, and handed it to her lips, "Open your mouth."
"Ah?" She looked at him in confusion.
