Maya's eyes widened, tears welling up in her eyes, and she didn't know how to answer.
"Come." Julian took her to the dining table again, pulled out a chair and sat down. He put his arms around her waist and with a little force, he hooked her into his arms and made her sit on his lap.
She wants to get up.
He refused to let her go, and wrapped his arm around her waist to hold her steady, while his other hand held the chopsticks, "I haven't eaten yet. I was hungry for lunch and dinner, so I hurried to see you."
He kept silent about what had just happened.
