Julian was wearing a shirt and trousers, with flat shoulders, broad back, slim waist and long legs. It was obvious that he worked out regularly. His chest muscles were full and his arms were strong. With his sleeves rolled up, he stretched out a pair of hands with his palms facing inward, like a slow motion before a hug, but he always stayed there and didn't move forward an inch.

Maya regained her senses, stood up as she was told, untied the belt of her coat, and let her collar slide down little by little, revealing her slender snow-white neck and smooth skin. Gradually, the milky white silk dress underneath could no longer cover her exquisite body.

A warm breeze blew from behind, it was his breath, sometimes light, sometimes shallow, brushing against her ears.

He held her collar, placed his fingertips on the side of her neck, and slowly slid them back.

The touch of her fingertips was slightly rough, moist and hot, causing her to tremble and her breathing became rapid.

Julian suddenly let out a low gasp, stepped back, and bumped into the cabinet behind him with a slight sound.

Both parents looked towards him.

Clara Zhou picked up the clothes hanger and walked over quickly, blocking the two of them, and said to Graham Yu: "Uncle, come and have a taste, the dishes here are quite good."

Graham Yu still ignored her and continued sitting on the sofa in front of the window, looking down at his phone.

He is handsome and has a good frame. He has become more elegant as he grows older, but he has been immersed in the business world for too long, and a sense of sophistication and slickness has emerged around him.

The phone suddenly rang, the sound was sharp and piercing. He hung up the phone to turn off the ringtone, and the screen lit up again, endlessly.

The floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel's private room overlook the lake. The gray-blue lake surface is frozen, the withered lotus leaves are curled up, the lotus stems are broken and drooping, and the surroundings are foggy, making people feel nervous.

Vivian Zhao sneered, "Clara Zhou, just eat your food and ignore him. It's always like that."

Clara Zhou smiled shyly, took Maya's coat, and said to Julian: "Let me do it, you go and rest. I worked overtime last night, and I originally arranged for a driver to go with you, but you insisted on driving yourself. What are you trying to do?"

He clenched his fist and gently touched the tip of his nose, then sat back next to Maya.

Clara Zhou tidied up the coat and hung it in the closet, then patted another long coat next to it. It was Julian's, clean and smooth, made of high-quality material, without any stains from rain or dust.

Just like him, spotless and impeccable.

She hung up the clothes, checked everything was in order, and came to his side again, "Did you miss lunch and have low blood sugar? I'll give you a dose of ginseng soup to boost your energy."

Not only at noon, he hadn't eaten a single grain of rice before he received the call from Maya.

"Maybe." Julian looked relaxed and nonchalant.

Vivian Zhao said, "You have a bad habit. You have irregular meals. Sooner or later, something will go wrong. You still need someone to take care of you." She paused and glanced at Clara Zhou. She didn't know if she was moved or finally compromised. "I won't be a wicked mother-in-law to stop you. Just get married. If you keep delaying and Clara Zhou becomes an old woman, wouldn't that be my fault?"

Maya felt relieved, "Mom, you should have thought so earlier."

"Tsk, they all play the role of the star-crossed couple." Vivian Zhao still insisted.

As a person who started from scratch in the 1990s, he has a gangster air about him, and gangsters are not particular about trivial matters. In order to get projects, Vivian Zhao has met all kinds of people. Graham Yu is too elegant and refined, and many times he is too embarrassed to do so, so Vivian Zhao has to charge into battle in the front.

She had a strong and violent personality, but in her time, that was how people behaved and how they did things, bold and open. To say that she was a bad person was indeed not the case.

The mother just lacks the thoughtfulness and meticulousness of a woman, but isn't it too selfish to ask the general who is expanding the territory to be as gentle as water? This is impossible to do, it is a paradox and a demanding thing.

Maya thought back to her childhood and tried to understand her mother.

Unexpectedly, Vivian Zhao changed the subject and said, "It doesn't matter if you don't have children. Xiaomei is back. When she gives birth to a grandson, it's the same if he has the surname Yu. The company shares will be left to her. In short, the Yu family will have successors."

The brother and sister said in unison: "Mom, what did you say?"

Maya couldn't stand it, "The company might go bankrupt someday, why are you still thinking about it lasting for generations? It's so funny." She seldom spoke in such a sarcastic tone.

Julian was so angry that he lit a cigarette, threw the lighter away, took a deep puff and exhaled white smoke, "I took over the company and worked hard for several years. I saw that the new section was picking up, so why didn't you give me the shares, but gave them to a non-existent grandson?"

"Brother, I told you I won't argue with you, why are you so excited?"

Julian roared: "I'm excited? Which grandson do you want to have a grandson with? You tell me!"

"What grandchild? When did I say I wanted to have a grandchild?"

After the quarrel between mother and daughter, the brother and sister quarreled again. There was no peace in the Yu family.

"Shut up!" Vivian Zhao slammed the table again, causing the dishes on the table to rattle. "I'm not even dead yet, and you two unfilial sons are fighting over the family property?"

Maya wanted to say that she came back just to divide the family property, but before she could open her mouth, Julian hit her leg with his knee under the table, not too hard or too lightly, and finally knocked the words back at her. She glared at him fiercely.

His pair of jet-black eyes were full of charm and he came towards me with a half-smile, then he leaned back in his chair and raised his head, sighing, no one knew what he was sighing about. He was concentrating on making smoke rings and watching the light white mist dissipate. His whole body was also wrapped in the mist.

She covered her nose and coughed, and he pulled the ashtray closer and stubbed out the cigarette.
