"Were you preparing the gifts at that time?"
Ethan didn't say anything. He took out the gem and placed it in Caleb's hand. The dim street light shone through the car window. Under the dim light inside the car, the gem sparkled.
It was a very beautiful sapphire and Caleb fell in love with it almost at first sight.
"Sit tight, let's go."
Ethan stuffed the thing into Caleb's hand, started the car and left.
