When walking out of the shabby room, Jade Thompson took the umbrella handed to her by the secretary, then opened it and held it over her and Ava Morgan's heads.
Hearing this, Ava Morgan raised his eyes and looked into the distance.
The sky was still dark, and raindrops as big as beans poured down from the sky without any sign of stopping.
Not far away, a black car was parked on the side of the road. Through the half-lowered window of the back seat, Ava Morgan could vaguely see the figure sitting inside.
