Chase Qin found this request particularly difficult to make, as he was afraid of hurting Ethan He's self-esteem. After all, Ethan He now had a stable job, and no one would easily give up their career for another person.
But he didn't expect that not long after he asked this question, he heard a pleasant voice - "OK."
Chase Qin couldn't believe it. He had encountered too many surprises that night, from Ethan He K!ssing him while crying, to his sudden confession after making love in the car, to Ethan He's direct suggestion to go home and come out to his parents, to his current promise to go with him... all the surprises made Chase Qin feel "fake" and scared.
He loosened his arms around Ethan He and stared at him blankly, his expression a little bewildered: "Are you serious?"
This fear was just like the panic he felt three years ago when Ethan He suddenly disappeared at the moment Chase Qin thought he was happiest. It made him feel that all this was just a sweet illusion, a mirage, and maybe Ethan He would change his mind in the next second...
