The night is still quiet.
I don’t know when, the sounds coming from the bottom of the stairs were all silent, and even the strong wind that had passed through the windows at both ends stopped. The huge old castle was incredibly quiet and lifeless.
Those shadows were surging, gradually cruising from the wall, pulling into a surging curtain, sealing the entire third-floor staircase.
