How can you not visit temples when you come to Japan? The second day's itinerary is to go to the temple.
First, you go up the mountain along the 9981 stone steps, then come to the empty quiet room of the temple, sit on a mat, and drink a cup of matcha personally prepared by the abbot.
The light filtered through the eaves and sprinkled on the long corridor. The whispers of some tourists could be heard outside, but there was no sound or other people in the quiet room. There was only the slightly bitter but sweet tea, which exuded a faint sweetness in the mouth.
Aiden Yu and Logan Wen's cell phones were placed in the cabinet outside. There was a rule in this quiet room that no electronic devices could be brought in. If one wished to sit here, they could enjoy a moment of complete peace.
I felt a little uncomfortable without my cell phone at first, but later I really felt the feeling of being in the mountains, far away from the world.
