The cook cooked the cattle and sheep, and the guards lined up to receive the meals.
The three leading teams, from the team leader to the squad leader, from the Marcus Sergeant to the soldier, all held their heads high, holding steamed buns in their hands, and their wooden bowls were filled with mutton soup with oil floating on it, and there were large chunks of mutton and mutton bones in the soup.
Not only that, the cook cut the roasted beef into large pieces, took apart the beef legs, picked out the best parts, and spread them out on a wooden board, allowing the winning team to take them, amid the envious eyes of the watchmen.
Led by three team leaders, the 150 guards lined up again. Since their hands were full, they simply bit the steamed buns in their mouths. When it was their turn, they grabbed the whole piece of beef directly from the board without caring about the heat.
After receiving the food, the guards gathered together, some squatting, some standing, eating and chatting, a rare moment of relaxation.
