The next morning, Eli went downstairs to have breakfast as usual.

Although he was married to Miles, they still lived in the Wen family villa. His brother Oliver Wen and father Henry were not at ease with them moving out.

First floor restaurant---

Oliver was sitting at the round table. Seeing Eli coming out of the elevator alone again, he couldn't help but frown, "Miles didn't come back last night again?"

Oliver is seven years older than Eli. The two brothers look somewhat alike, but because their mother Wen Mingzhu passed away a few years ago and Oliver took over the Wen Group, he is more dignified and calm.

"His company is just starting out, and there are too many things to do. He is a little overwhelmed." Eli sat down next to him, squinting his eyes and smiling as usual, and helped Miles explain.

"Warm, self-indulgent."

Oliver called out his name word by word, his eyes suddenly becoming sharp, "Stop laughing, it's so ugly."

Eli didn't say anything after being scolded. He then lowered his eyes and restrained his smile.

The warm light from above sprinkled down, casting a small shadow under his eyes, as if holding up the shadow of his lost gaze.

However, Oliver's face remained cold, "I agreed to your marriage so that he could accompany you and take good care of you, not so that he would stay out every night, ignore you, and leave you alone!"

Eli moved his lips as if he wanted to say something, but he was speechless.

"Call him." Oliver said in an imperative tone.

Eli froze for a moment and said with difficulty: "He is really busy. The company does have a lot of things..."

"Right now and immediately!" Oliver interrupted him in a resounding voice.

...

A few minutes later, the call was picked up.

Miles's voice sounded a little tired, which made Oliver look arbitrary and cold. "I don't care what you are busy with. Return to the Wen family within ten minutes."

After hanging up the phone, Eli just opened his mouth and called out "Brother".

Oliver interrupted him coldly: "Shut up."

Father Henry happened to come down from upstairs and said to Oliver, "What's going on? I heard you yelling from upstairs. Oliver, don't treat Qingqing as if she were one of your own."

Oliver glanced at Henry indifferently and called him "Dad" in a lukewarm tone.

Eli also shouted, and his tone was much warmer and more friendly in comparison.

He was raised by Henry since he was a child and had always been close to him. When Oliver disagreed with his marriage to Miles, Eli went to find Henry. After a few days, Oliver relented and agreed to their marriage. However, it seems that Oliver still hates Miles.

Henry responded, straightened Eli's collar, and sat down next to him. "What's wrong? Why did your brother say that to you?"

"Nothing." Eli said simply.

Henry listened, thought for a while and said: "Your brother is right, Xiao Lu has not been home for many days, about 24 days, he should come back to visit, have breakfast, it won't take more than a few minutes."

Eli didn't respond, but stirred the porridge in the bowl with a spoon.

On the contrary, Oliver, who was standing by, glanced over and raised his lips for a rare moment, "Twenty-four days? Oh, you remember it clearly, old man."

"Is this the way you talk to your father?" Henry's face darkened, and he was obviously displeased.

This son has exactly the same temper as his wife Wen Mingzhu. He used to respect himself and his father. However, his wife died of illness six years ago. After Oliver took over the group, he became more domineering and authoritarian.

Oliver raised his eyebrows without giving any explanation.

Eli didn't want to see his family quarreling because of him, so he came out with a smile to smooth things over.

"Wen, Zi, Qing!"

Oliver called out his full name again, with a sharp look in his eyes, "Did I ever tell you not to laugh like that?"

Eli lowered his eyes and fell completely silent.

"Why are you shouting at home?" Henry scolded.

"What do you know? Why are you meddling in this?" Oliver didn't give in at all.

Although Henry still frowned, he didn't say anything in the end.

Ten minutes passed quickly in the eerie silence, but there was no sign of Miles.

Eli knew that the company was far away and there were a lot of things to do, so it was impossible for him to come back just like that.

However, Miles did not come back until the breakfast was over. Seeing that Oliver's face was getting colder and colder, Eli took the initiative to speak and broke the silence, "Brother, he is indeed busy. We met yesterday. He accompanied me for dinner and stayed for a while."

Eli continued to lie: "Uncle Rong drove me there, and after dinner he asked his assistant to take me back."

Eli is very good at lying. He uses the simplest language, drags others to testify, and includes some real content in the lies. He should not feel guilty when speaking and dares to look others in the eye.

This is the experience Eli has accumulated through repeated practice.

Oliver didn't say anything, but stared at him for a long time. His eyes were flashing with tiny lights, as bright as stars, which made people feel pity and love for him.

In the end, he didn't say anything else, put down his chopsticks, got up and left.

Seeing him leave, Eli breathed a sigh of relief, as if a stone had fallen to the ground. At the same time, an inexplicable sense of loss welled up from deep in his heart.

Henry picked up some food for him with chopsticks and put it in the bowl. He noticed the wound on his hand and frowned and asked, "What happened to your hand? Did you scratch it? How could you be so careless and get such a big wound?"

Oliver, who had already walked to the door of the restaurant, paused slightly when he heard Henry's words.

He turned around and glanced at Eli's back, made two phone calls at the door, then returned to the restaurant and said to Eli: "Come out to see me after dinner."

Eli didn't understand what was going on, so he quickly finished the rest of the porridge and went out. As soon as he opened the car door, he heard his brother say, "I have arranged two people for you, Shao Hua and Logan Shen, you choose one."

Hearing the name of the psychiatrist, Eli took the initiative to explain: "The cup broke last night, and my hand was accidentally scratched when I was picking up the glass."

Oliver didn't even look at him, let alone pay any attention to him.

Eli reiterated, "I'm really fine. I don't need to see Dr. Shao."

"Okay, then let's go meet Logan." Oliver made the decision.

Logan is the eldest son of Weiming Group. He has always liked Eli and is the candidate that Oliver has always favored to marry Eli.

"Brother, I'm already married!" Eli's eyes widened in disbelief, and his voice almost broke.

"Are you married? Oh, it seems like you are. You hang around the house alone every day. I thought you were a widower, but it's almost the same." Oliver continued coldly: "Get in the car, don't let me say it again!"

Oliver always keeps his word, and Eli is in a wheelchair, so he has no other choice.

They went straight to a high-end coffee shop, and Eli saw Logan inside at a glance. He was wearing a high-end shirt, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes. His eyes locked onto them like a radar at the first moment.

Eli was taken down from the car, but he was still unwilling to go in.

"It's up to you." Oliver didn't care and went in alone to chat with Logan.

Watching the two of them chatting and laughing, Eli felt very uncomfortable. He wished he could push his wheelchair in and separate the two of them.

Fortunately, Oliver came out quickly, but he ignored Eli, got into the back seat, and told the driver to drive away.

Eli was sitting in a wheelchair and was caught off guard by a mouthful of exhaust fumes. He didn't even have time to say a word to stop them before he was left at the door of the coffee shop.

It was not until someone put his hand on the wheelchair that he suddenly woke up. He looked up and saw Logan's wanton and ostentatious smile, "Don't look, your brother has gone far away."

Eli gripped the handle of the wheelchair, his voice tense, "What did my brother tell you?"

Logan leaned down, his eyes level with Eli's, and smiled more proudly, "Your brother said that you belong to me today, now it's my one-day date with you."

Eli's face turned pale, and he subconsciously wanted to leave, but the person in front of him held the wheelchair tightly. His pupils jumped violently, and he emphasized: "I'm already married."

"I know. Wouldn't a one-day tryst with a married man be more exciting?" Logan raised his eyebrows, his eyes full of light seeking excitement.

Eli couldn't escape and was taken away by Logan. They eventually arrived at a gym.

Eli sat in a wheelchair, looking at the big words "Gym", speechless as if he had eaten a fly.

Logan pushed Eli in complacently.

He had called ahead and had people clear the venue, so there were only the two of them in the huge arena.

Logan naturally didn't ask Eli to exercise, he wanted someone to watch him exercise.

"Whatever equipment you want to see, I'll show you." Logan rolled up his sleeves, unbuttoned two buttons of his shirt, and like a peacock spreading its tail, began to show off his hormones crazily.

Eli looked at him blankly, with no extra expression on his face.

Logan didn't care about his reaction at all, and said to himself: "Can't think of it? Anyway, the date is still long, so I will practice them one by one for you to see."

So they spent a whole day in the gym, and even had lunch delivered by a private chef.

By the afternoon, Eli felt increasingly numb.

But Logan pushed him to show off his energy in the gym, and even came up to him and asked, "Don't you think I'm attractive like this?"

Finally, Eli's patience and tolerance ran out. "I will just think you are a fool!"

Logan was not angry at all when he heard this. Instead, he pushed him around, raised his chin, and continued to ask with a smile: "Do you think the guy outside looks like a fool?"

After turning around, Eli immediately glanced at Miles who was standing outside. He was still wearing the same clothes he wore when they met yesterday. His black hair was a little messy, but his delicate eyes were still cold and clear.

He didn't know how long he had been there, let alone how long he had been standing there watching.

Seeing that Eli didn't answer his question, Logan turned him around again. He leaned over and said, "He's not a fool. Your brother cut off the funding chain of his company, so he came to you immediately. What a shrewd calculation."

Logan said with emotion, and even scratched Eli's nose intimately, saying in a doting tone, "Only you are a real little fool."
