Logan pushed Eli out of the gym. He looked calm and generous, without any embarrassment of being caught showing his hormonal charm in front of a married man.

He even took the initiative to reach out and greet Miles, "Mr. Lu, I haven't seen you for a while."

Miles shook hands with him as usual and said, "Long time no see."

The atmosphere between the two was harmonious, like old friends who hadn't seen each other for a long time.

"Return the jade intact to Zhao, please go ahead, Mr. Lu." Logan said to him, turned around and touched Eli's soft hair again, slightly adjusted his sword eyebrows, full of smiles, and said without hesitation: "Let's go, let's make an appointment when we are free, I'm always here."

Eli moved far away, but was still forcibly touched on the head because of the restraint of the wheelchair.

He looked up at Miles beside him, who seemed indifferent and didn't care at all about what happened between them.

A sense of loss that was difficult to conceal welled up in my heart.

Having seen too many melodramatic stories, he actually expected Miles to shake off Logan's hand and say coldly: "This is my man, are you qualified to move?"

With a light chuckle, Eli mocked himself for being brainwashed by stupid jokes and overthinking.

After Logan left, Miles was the first to speak up and break the silence, "Are you leaving?"

"How long have you been here?" Eli asked instead of answering.

"About an hour or so." Miles had no intention of hiding anything.

He had been there for more than an hour, and through the glass wall, he watched Logan lifting weights and doing lifts, and showing off his various efforts to Eli.

Eli fell silent after hearing this.

So, for more than an hour, he had been standing at the door watching me dating someone? Did he believe that I wouldn't have anything with that person, or did he not care about what I had with that person?

He thought of what Logan had just said, "He's not a fool. Your brother cut off his company's funding chain, so he came to you immediately. What a shrewd calculation."

So is this really the case?

Eli wanted to ask, but her words turned into explanations: "It wasn't me who wanted to find Logan. My brother abandoned me and he insisted on bringing me here. I had no choice."

"I know." Miles responded softly, his expression remained the same after he finished speaking.

Eli looked at his handsome features and felt a hint of resentment in his heart.

It shouldn't be like this!

Why was he so calm? Shouldn't the husband be angry and unhappy when he knew he was taken away by force? Why was he so calm and composed?

Is she sure that she likes him, or does she not care about what happens to her at all!

In other words, if my brother had not cut off his company's funding chain, would he never have come to me in his life?

Eli really wanted to question.

But he was used to suppressing and hiding his emotions. All his emotions were hidden deep in his heart. He could even force out a smile and respond, "Let's go" when Miles asked him, "Are you leaving?"

After many days, Miles finally stepped into the Wen family's door again.

The family had dinner together.

At the dining table, Oliver raised his eyes when he heard someone coming down, and frowned the next second, "Where's the wheelchair?"

Eli, who was being questioned, was walking slowly over, "It's upstairs. I want to walk around by myself."

Oliver glanced at someone who was following Eli slowly, and quickly realized that as long as Miles was at home, Eli didn't like to sit in a wheelchair.

Oliver's face turned pale and his mood became obviously worse. "Mr. Lu is very busy. How come you have time to come back today?"

"No matter how busy you are, you have to go home for dinner. Come, Xiao Lu, sit next to me." Henry came out to smooth things over and kindly invited the two to sit down.

"Just next to you? That's too distant. You should let Mr. Lu sit on your lap to make it more intimate." When Oliver is unhappy, even his own father will suffer.

Henry's face turned green with anger because of his words, but his experience in the morning was still vivid in his mind. He didn't dare to speak as an elder, fearing that Oliver would scold him directly and he would lose face in front of Miles.

"Butler Qin, everyone is here, please serve the food." Fortunately, Eli spoke in time and changed the subject.

Butler Qin then hurriedly asked everyone to serve the food.

Even after the dishes were served, Oliver still couldn't stand Miles's look, and every word he spoke was full of sarcasm.

Eli couldn't listen any more, so he quietly kicked Oliver under the table.

On Eli's left was Miles, on his right was Oliver, and opposite him was his father Henry. He kicked to the side with his right foot, but saw that Oliver had a blank expression and no reaction.

Miles on the other side suddenly looked like he was infected with some bugs and his face changed slightly.

The round table was covered with a lining cloth, and the people at the table could not see the undercurrents beneath the table. However, Butler Qin who was standing nearby could vaguely see some of it. He looked at the man's hastily retracted right leg with a complicated expression.

After many days, Eli finally gave him the suit, and they lay on the same bed again.

But thinking about the whole story, Eli was less excited. Without waiting for Miles to speak, he said, "Don't worry, I will talk to my brother about the funding."

After a long time, Miles finally hummed, and then the two of them didn't talk any more.

It was hot in the summer, and Eli knew that he was weak, so he asked Butler Qin to change his quilt to a thicker one and lower the temperature of the air conditioner by a few degrees.

The air-conditioning temperature was a bit cold for Eli, so he buried himself in the quilt, leaving only his eyes staring at Miles's broad back.

Morning---

When Eli opened his eyes, he was the only one left on the bed. He was still alone in the huge room. Everything that happened yesterday seemed to be just an illusion. Miles was still busy in the company, and he was still waiting.

After waking up completely, Eli remembered that he heard Miles answering the phone in his sleep.

I guess he left because of something at the company.

It's really busy.

After a sigh, Eli washed up and went downstairs. Seeing him coming down alone, Oliver's face darkened again, "Where is he? Left again?"

Eli hummed in response.

Oliver sneered when he heard this, "It seems that he will not stay home with you unless the company goes bankrupt."

Eli was almost trying to persuade him, "Brother, don't mess around like this. The company is at a critical stage, and you suddenly withdraw your investment..."

"Did he notice the wound on your hand?" Oliver suddenly interrupted and asked.

Eli's voice froze. Even though he was good at lying, he was still embarrassed by this sudden question.

He stared blankly at the scars on his fingers, and suddenly became speechless, unable to say a word.

"I thought you could understand it yesterday, but I didn't expect you to be a fool." Oliver laughed.

Being called a fool once again made Eli even more silent.

Seeing him like this, Oliver's eyebrows furrowed, and he became even more angry. "If I hadn't withdrawn the funds, how could he have come to you if he needed you?"

"Eli, have you lived in vain for the past twenty years? You can't even see something like this?"

"I'm confused. What kind of magic does Miles have? You look down on so many outstanding people, but why do you like him?"

Eli remained silent, memories of the past flashing through his mind---

He had been to campus twice. In addition to returning to school during his freshman year of high school, he also went to school when he was six years old and in the first grade.

Due to physical reasons, he hired a private tutor since he was a child, but his mother Wen Mingzhu did not want him to be out of touch with society, so she sent him to school.

It’s a pity that Eli, who is in a wheelchair, became the target of bullying by other kids at school.

Naughty kids used him as a prop in the playground, as he sat in a wheelchair. A group of people pushed him, scrambled for him, and ran away.

Miles was in the same class with him at the time. He stepped forward, with his small figure blocking in front of him, trying to stop those people with bad intentions. But those people played even crazier and finally threw him out, then scattered and ran away shouting.

Six-year-old Eli fell and broke his head. He lay on the plastic track and didn't get up for a long time.

He remembered clearly that it was Miles who ran over panting, helped him up, and carried him to the infirmary. While the doctor was treating his wound, Miles stuffed a candy into his hand and said with bright eyes, "Eat a candy and it won't hurt so much!"

Eli will always remember the sweetness of that candy, which, with its childish innocence, will always linger in his heart.

Later, Wen Mingzhu found out that he was bullied, so he never went to school again. His mother hired a private tutor for him again, and he rarely interacted with outsiders anymore.

Miles was thus engraved deep in his memory, with a strong sense of admiration and love.

Later, when something happened to the Lu family, he saw the news report and recognized Miles at a glance, so he asked to attend the funeral of the Lu couple with his brother. Finally, he brought Miles back home.

...

No matter what Eli said, Oliver was determined to bring down Miles's company.

Unable to persuade his brother, Eli was at a loss. Just as he was thinking about what to do, he received a phone call.

It’s Logan.

"Why are you calling?" Eli asked in confusion.

Logan not only behaves like a peacock with its tail spread out, but also speaks in a flowery way, "I sensed that you needed me, so I took the initiative to come here. How about it, are you touched?"

Eli disliked his flamboyance the most. "I'm not touched. I don't need you for anything."

"Just because you don't have it doesn't mean that President Lu doesn't have it. Our Weiming Group is no worse than your Wen Group!" Logan said with a smile.

Weiming Group is one of the three largest chaebol families in City S. Its strength should not be underestimated. If they are interested in investing...

Eli gradually wavered.

As if knowing what he was thinking, Logan directly gave the address, "In front of the stone at the west gate of S University, I'll wait for you here."

Eli frowned, "What are you going to school for?"

"Date, fcuk you." Logan still spoke without restraint.

Eli was speechless and hung up the phone angrily, but he still went to the appointment in the end.

He knew that Logan was just frivolous in words and his behavior was a little crazy, but it was not out of line, otherwise Oliver would not want to marry him, and Miles's company was at a critical juncture.

...

Uncle Rong parked the car at the west gate of the school, and was about to get out to get the wheelchair, but was stopped by Eli.

He looked at the bustling university campus with a longing heart. Eli had been almost completely out of touch with society for the past twenty years, not to mention such a vibrant university life. He really wanted to get out of his wheelchair and walk under the trees in the school, but unfortunately his physical condition did not allow it.

Uncle Rong called out several times before Eli turned around. He smiled at him and didn't stop him from taking the wheelchair.

However, just as he got off the bus and before he had time to sit in the wheelchair, he was picked up by a brutal force and got on a tram while dizzy.

"Why are you sitting in a wheelchair to walk around the campus?" Logan said nonchalantly, and knocked the hat in his hand on Eli's head, "You are really a little fool. You don't even know to wear a hat when you go out in the hot summer."

Eli frowned. He was very sensitive to the word "fool" now.

Logan didn't give him a chance to react. He got on the bike, turned the handlebars and ran away.

Riding a bike on campus is quite fun. The summer wind blows in my ears, so warm that I just feel comfortable.

After this moment of comfort passed, Eli finally remembered to ask: "Where are you taking me?"

Logan's voice was carried by the wind to Eli's ears, "I'll take you to dig out the tumor in your heart so that I can move in."

Eli frowned, not understanding why.

Finally, they parked the car in the sunken square of S University. Next to it was the school hall, where the welcome party for freshmen was being rehearsed.

Eli followed Logan in slowly, and then saw Logan's younger brother rehearsing a program on the stage.

"I'm not here to see your brother perform." Eli tried to explain his purpose, but Logan pressed his head and fastened his hat.

"What are you doing!" Eli didn't like him touching her, but the next second he said, "Look who's over there?"

Eli was forced to turn his head and saw the figure he was looking for in the morning.
