There was a hidden smile in Jade's eyes. Claire looked at the eyes that had fascinated him from the beginning and felt a little dazed.
It was not until his knuckles tapped the table, with a series of crisp thumping sounds, that Claire suddenly came back to his senses.
As if she was afraid that Jade would notice her absence, Claire quickly replied: "Let's go to Jingxi Temple today. I want to pray for blessings. I heard that it is very effective there. Sister, do you want to come with me?"
She spoke very quickly, which only made her tone more obvious.
Jade raised her red lips and smiled noncommittally: "You said 'we' at the beginning, so I guess it wouldn't be good not to go. Anyway, I have nothing to do on New Year's Day, so I'll go out with you and relax."
