The New Year's Eve of this year was no different from any other year. The lights were still off at Noah's house. Mason came back from his uncle's house after dinner and asked Amelia to go upstairs first while he squatted downstairs and smoked a few cigarettes. Noah sent a message saying "Happy New Year". He read it for a long time before replying with the same four words.

When I looked up again, the sky above was already filled with colorful fireworks.

It was a gorgeous scene, but for no reason he felt lost. He watched the fireworks one by one light up the darkness, roaring through the sky. The endless competition of beauty and the cheers against the light seemed to tell him that no matter who went through what kind of story, the New Year was still lively.

The world is so big, it contains so many things and emotions. Time always moves forward normally, and festivals come and go. It never cares which lights are on and which are off. Who goes where and what mood they are in will not affect the excitement at all.

After all, you are an indispensable existence to the people close to you, but in the space of the entire world, you are just an ordinary speck of dust. Life or death, joy or anger, are all insignificant.
