Ryan put one hand on Chachaer's shoulder and walked and talked in the corridor. Because there was a card game at home today, the servants were awake to serve, and the yard was brighter than usual. There was a row of bird cages covered with black cloth under the eaves of the corridor. Ryan opened one and found an orange-yellow hibiscus. The bird woke up when the cage was shaken, jumped twice on the horizontal bar, and turned its head alertly.
Ryan teased the bird and said, "Sister, you must be fourteen this year, right?"
Chachaer sat leaning against the pillar and said indifferently, "Yes."
"Then, I have something to say to you. Your sister-in-law and I were married... you were still young back then, but you should understand now that your sister-in-law and I are not married like Nathan and Emily. We are like father and aunt."
Chachaer nodded, with no expression on her face: "You want to say that you and my sister-in-law are from two different eras, and your union was forced? But why are you telling me this?" She is really a cold-hearted, straightforward little girl, not like Ryan at all. Meiyin is still young, and her temperament cannot be seen. Just say that the three siblings of the Cheng family have nothing in common with each other.
