The snow was still floating outside, the staggered steps were lit with warm yellow floor lamps, and the cut fruits on the coffee table were brightly colored. Sitting in this greenhouse, Simon guessed the reason why Owen stayed, but could not guess the topic of the conversation that was about to begin.
After a moment, he couldn't help asking, "What are we talking about?"
Owen pondered for a moment, as if he had prepared a draft beforehand, and asked in a steady tone: "Is it because you haven't applied for a dormitory at school, so it's inconvenient to rest at noon?"
Simon didn't expect that he stayed to talk about this. He paused for two seconds and answered truthfully: "No, I've been at my classmate's house at noon recently. It's very convenient for me to rest or study."
The kid took the initiative to get to the point, so Owen simply stopped being euphemistic and said bluntly: "You always take a nap at your classmate's house, are you so close?"
