We children also called our mother's aunt "aunt"; we had no other name for her.
She gave us jam and candy to eat, even though it was bad for our teeth.
But she said that her heart is very soft in front of the lovely children. Children love sweets so much that it would be cruel not to give them any.
That's why we like our aunt.
She is an old lady; as far as I can remember, she will always be that old! Her age is constant.
