It was winter, after the night show ended. The weather was terrible, with heavy snowstorms making it almost impossible to move forward.

My aunt is at the theater and I want to take her home. But it’s difficult to walk alone, let alone accompanying others. Everyone robbed the cabs at once. My aunt lived far away from the city, but I lived near the theater. If it weren't for this reason, we could stay in the same post and wait.

We staggered forward in the deep snow, surrounded by dancing snowflakes. I supported her, supported her, and pushed her forward. We only fell twice, and each time we fell slightly.

We walked through the door of my house. We dusted off the snow a few times at the door, and again on the stairs; but we still had enough snow to cover the front room floor.

We took off our coats and undercoats and whatever else we could. The landlady borrowed a pair of clean socks and a nightgown for my aunt to wear. The landlady said it was necessary; she also said, and was quite right, that her aunt would not be able to come back to the house that night, so she was asked to stay in the drawing-room. She can sleep on the sofa as a bed. The sofa is at the door to my room, which is always locked.
