As soon as Ethan Ning said this, Carter Xing wanted to slap himself a few times.
Why couldn't he control his temper? Why did he speak without restraint and say such hurtful words? He wanted to apologize to his brother in a hurry, but he couldn't say the words. He just stared there, raised his hand awkwardly, and gently touched Ethan Ning's cheek.
Carter Xing was now extremely angry and felt extremely unbearable. All his self-blame turned into sobs that got stuck in his throat and he couldn't swallow them.
"I want you to stay with me forever, but I don't want to affect your bright future because of me."
He locked his eyes tightly with Ethan Ning's, fearing that the water inside would quietly overflow. "Do you understand?"
