Jasper took a short rest and quickly replaced Riley, who was doing the fancy barnacle prying. It was tiring enough for him to do it himself, and watching her do it was even more tiring. On top of that, he had to be careful of flying barnacles at all times.

Riley had just found his rhythm when he was about to be laid off. He thought that if two people started working together, they could finish the work faster.
