The engagement ceremony slowly opened with the wedding march played by a live band.
The two huge main doors opened with a bang, and the red carpet stretched from the door to the front desk, across the entire hall. Guests stood up from the tables on both sides, and flower girls scattered petals in handfuls. The air was filled with the intoxicating scent of expensive perfumes, rouge and powder, and various flowers.
Emily Harrison wore a pearly white backless floor-length dress with a matching veil. Her long skirt was adorned with pearls. Two flower girls held the hems of her skirt on her left and right.
She was all smiles, her eyes were filled with pride and happiness, and she looked very radiant. If you look closely, you can see that her belly is protruding, and even the deliberately wide and large dress can't hide it.
In contrast, Marcus Blackwell showed no special expression. He was wearing a standard Armani slim-fitting suit and stood beside Emily Harrison with a sullen face. It was hard to tell whether he was too happy to show his expression or too polite because of his noble demeanor.
