Although they had made full psychological preparations, the difficulty of the application was beyond Cheng and Shen's imagination. Director Wang never agreed to the idea of investigating across half of China for a case that happened three years ago and "wasn't even sure whether it was homicide." In order to convince Director Wang, Jason and Sean tried their best. They first asked Ryan to confirm to Director Wang that the deceased must have been killed; then they took turns to persuade Director Wang with reason and emotion. But even so, Director Wang still did not agree to everyone's application.

"If it really doesn't work, I'll take a leave and go to Hunan to check it out myself." Sean said angrily in the office.

"Don't be silly! If you ask for leave at this time, you are obviously going against Director Wang." Jason immediately rejected it.

"Then are you not going to investigate this matter?!" Sean got angry and spoke louder: "Don't tell me to ask Li Guangbei to send someone to investigate. I will never ask him for help on this matter!"

Jason did consider the idea of using Li Guangbei's manpower, but seeing Sean's firm refusal, he had no choice but to give up. Moreover, Li Guangbei's identity was sensitive after all.
