I stood outside the detention center's gate, holding my belongings in my arms. Until Clara Jiang dragged me into the car, I still felt like I was wandering in someone else's dream, unable to come back to my senses.

Fate loves to play tricks on people. I thought it was no big deal, but I stayed in the detention center for thirty-seven days. I had already shaved my head and was ready to be arrested, but he escaped on the last day. I thought Clara Jiang would cry and make a fuss, but she didn't say a word.

She drove silently beside me, occasionally answering a phone call and saying, "I got it, don't worry."

I lay in bed at home for a day, and Clara Jiang took a day off to accompany me. Fatty, Gabriel, and Mason Ouyang all came the next day and dragged me out to eat.

When I went out, I saw that Gabriel was driving a BMW, but the fat guy was still driving his broken Jetta.
